We believe that a good seafarer is not only one who is qualified by his license and documents, but equally by good moral character, being able to tell the truth and having the guts to correct wrongdoing, following the path of righness in his live. It is not in our agenda that agency owners enrich themselves or dispay wealth on the account of disadvantage for crew or ship owners. It is not in our agenda that crew abuses the agency or its management in order to push personal gain or family obligations. The company supports the family of a contracted seaman with best efforts. The borderline to immorality is reached when the seaman or the family abuses the company in financial aspects or pushes for employment of other family members. Live is a balance of give and take. As always in life, the true and fair approach must prevail. It does not matter to the company how much wages a seafarer earns in a particular contract in a particular company. It matters how much money a seafarer has available to feed his family over a year. The year covers the contract at sea and the vacation at home. At sea with monthly income, on vacation without income. If some company offers high salary, it will be only half of the thruth. What is the plan and reality about vacation and future employment ? The importance is of a good rotation plan for its seafarers, offering a long-term commitment for employment. Equally important is a plan to save the seafarers money while on vacation, like easy and fast processing, no waiting time in the office and many seemingly small but important plans more. |
